Meet Venom, the Rattler - The Famuan
WEBOct 3, 2012 · The “Venom” was chosen in 1891 to serve as the institution’s mascot after its relocation to Highwood Plantation from its original one-building settlement on Copeland Street. The mascot is a diamondback rattlesnake with a yellow-orange skin tone with a dark green hue covering its mouth area.

Rattler Statue - Visit Tallahassee
WEBThis 1,800-pound, 42-foot bronze Rattler is found in front of the Florida A&M University (FAMU) Center for Access and Student Success (CASS) Building on Wahnish Way. The statue was designed and created by Brad Cooley of Bronze by Cooley of Lamont. the Rattler was hoisted into place by a crane then secured to a concrete base.
