I did not float but a group of our people did. It looked like at least 15. Slow easy ride. Got a bit wet from what they said they were gone two hours or a bit more

Unlike the Fairmont Banff Springs, the Rimrock is not within easy walking distance to a river or stream. People do a lot of fly fishing inside the city limits of Calgary, and for those spots, you really just have to look - people are there all the time. Fly fishing is pretty specialized, and the Banff Information Centre staff might have some spots to suggest, or have their own material. There are a lot of fishing guides in the area who you could hire, so you don't end up wasting your time. Also there might be shops in Banff town that sell fly fishing gear, and they might have recommendations. Access might be the biggest issue, and that's where a guide again might be able to get you in and out efficiently. Hope you catch a whopper!
How far are the falls from the centre of town and is the path steep ? Thanks
A:
The paths are almost all paved and with built in steps so not steep at all but you need to be okay with stairs. About a 3 minute drive to the parking lot from centre of town.
