We went to Gruene to go to the Gruene Music Hall. Oldest dance hall in TX. We went on a night where there was a musician performing. I was happy to find out that it did not feel at all like a tourist… Full review by tashleyw

Used to be fun. Cool. Now it it packed past the brim with tourists. No place to swim anymore either, which USED TO make Gruene attractive to locals. No sidewalks, so you have to walk on a very VE… Full review by Nomad27552398752

Is the Greene shopping area walkable ?
A:
It’s an old town so sidewalks and a lot of pedestrian traffic. Parking is limited on the street but a hidden lot had ample parking. It’s hot in the summer months so plan accordingly.

Is Gruene wheel chair accessible?
A:
Do not remember a lot of stairs. Some shops in old houses had stairs but one also had ramp.

What time do shops open on Sunday?
A:
Most shops around Gruene Hall are open 10am-6pm on Sundays. Some are open 10-9pm on Sundays (like places to eat/drink). Enjoy

When do the shops open Monday through Friday?
A:
It seemed everything started buzzing around 10 AM with a steady stream of vehicles rolling in. It was really fun to explore all the shop. Make sure you go down all the side streets too!
