NEW YORK — Tests showed that New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart avoided significant injury to her leg during Saturday’s loss to the Los Angeles Sparks, a league source confirmed to The Athletic on Sunday.

Jonquel Jones had 18 points for the Liberty (17-8), who were playing without Breanna Stewart because of a right leg injury and lost their second straight.
