Tropical Depression Nineteen has formed in the Caribbean Sea and is forecast to continue strengthening, according to the National Hurricane Center.

A tropical depression in the Caribbean Sea became Tropical Storm Sara on Thursday, forecasters said, and poses no immediate threat to South Mississippi even though the storm will likely reach the Gulf of Mexico.

Tropical Storm Sara will bring potentially catastrophic flooding and mudslides to Honduras before heading toward the Yucatan.
