The Colorado State Patrol is piecing together what happened when a driver heading the wrong way reportedly caused a fatal crash Friday night.

The London-bound Boeing 787 struck a medical college hostel in a residential area of Ahmedabad minutes after takeoff Thursday, killing 241 people on board and at least 29 on the ground. One passenger survived.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 40-year-old male passenger was taken to a nearby hospital and is listed in serious condition.
