The National Weather Service released a flood watch at 2:08 a.m. on Tuesday valid from 2 p.m. until Wednesday 2 a.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.

Heavy rain Tuesday morning flooded roads in Sallisaw and surrounding areas as a slow-moving storm dropped more than five inches of rain across parts of Sequoyah County.

A Flash Flood Warning was in place Tuesday night as a slow and soaking rain storm pounded the city of Chicago. The warning affected a narrow, but densely populated area that included downtown Chicago.
