The United States is recalling its negotiating team from Doha, where talks on a ceasefire to end the war in Gaza have been taking place, with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff saying the latest response from Hamas “clearly shows a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire.”

While U.S., Qatari and Egyptian mediators “have made a great effort, Hamas does not appear to be coordinated or acting in good faith,” Trump envoy Steve Witkoff said.
