In September, members of APD's Juvenile Unit, Schoo Resource Officers, Amarillo Independent School District's police, Canyon ISD, and respective school districts have investigated over 30 various social media threats, false alarm reports, and terroristic threat reports directed to area schools, according to Amarillo police.

Police are investigating a threat made against Chelmsford High School, officials said Sunday, marking the latest of a series of threats against schools in Massachusetts and nationwide.

Two days after a teenager was apprehended and charged for making threats against the Newton school district and one day after a student threatened a teacher, police have arrested another teen who has also been accused of threatening a school shooting and harming a student at their home.
