Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world's top semiconductor manufacturer, has pledged to invest another $100 billion over the next four years to boost advanced semiconductor manufacturing in the United States.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. is expected to announce a $100 billion investment in the U.S. at the White House that would bring more semiconductor manufacturing to the country.

Trump announced the semiconductor manufacturing investment but did not say if it would provide security for Taiwan.
