The mayor of Methuen, Massachusetts is calling on the board of directors of Market Basket to bring back suspended CEO Arthur T. Demoulas, calling the supermarket a "community lifeline" in the city.

"Whatever is happening behind closed doors at Market Basket needs to stop. Now," Methuen Mayor David Beauregard wrote in an open letter to the company's board of directors.
