The winning ticket matched the five white balls and had the Powerplay to double the prize. The winning ticket was sold through the third-party lottery app Jackpot.com, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

This is the second winning ticket sold in the Garden State in a week. The last one was sold on December 20 in Nutley. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot continues to soar past $1 billion. The jackpot now stands at $1.15 billion for Friday night's drawing - the largest prize ever offered in the month of December.
