Nike is releasing Air Max 1's that look very Donkey Kong coded, but they haven't announced an official collaboration with Nintendo yet.

Donkey Kong doesn’t wear shoes. This is a defining trait of Nintendo’s famous barrel-tossin’ ape. But that hasn’t stopped Nike from creating a new pair of sneakers that seem to be directly inspired by Donkey Kong and his popular platformers.

The trainers are part of Nike's Air Max 1 collection of shoes, and are predominantly a Donkey Kong shade of brown, complete with a red and yellow Swoosh logo. There is also yellow detailing around the base of the shoe.

Nike is yet to formally list the new design itself, though fashion website Hypebeast estimates that the sweet sneakers will retail at $150 on launch — which would put them in line with the highly sought-after 'Low Poly' .SWOOSH pair from last year.
