Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said progress is being made to repair and extinguish the Deer Park pipeline fire despite a timeline for recovery that has changed over the past few days. The fire, which Hidalgo called the worst she has seen since a 2019 tank fire at the Intercontinental Terminals Co.

The SUV involved in the Deer Park pipeline explosion is now being examined, new video shows. Officials began towing the vehicle away from the site, moving it away from the fire's edge, to finally find answers to questions about how the SUV ended up inside the fence and whether anyone remained in the vehicle.

At least three cases of dengue fever have been reported in residents bitten by local mosquitoes in the Baldwin Park neighborhood east of downtown Los Angeles.

Two more cases of the mosquito-borne dengue virus are confirmed in Baldwin Park, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

A cluster of three cases in Baldwin Park “is an unprecedented number of locally transmitted cases for a region where dengue has not previously been transmitted by mosquitoes.”
