The Princess of Wales appeared emotional at the solemn service Kate Middleton let her emotions show during the Festival of Remembrance, her first major engagement with the royal family since completing chemotherapy.

Princess Kate joined Prince William at Remembrance Day Events on Saturday and Sunday, less than a year after her cancer diagnosis put her appearances on hold.

Kate Middleton is returning to royal duties carefully and at her own pace after completing preventative chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis.

Kate Middleton made an emotional return to public duty on Nov. 9 at the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall and then again on Nov. 10 at Remembrance Sunday at The Cenotaph. These back-to-back events mark the first time that has happened in all of 2024,

The Princess of Wales is making a steady return to royal duties following what has been one of the most tumultuous years of her life. In March, Kate confirmed she had been diagnosed with an unknown form of cancer.

Since announcing that she’s completed cancer treatment, Kate Middleton has slowly eased back into her royal duties, including making two back-to-back appearances at Remembrance Events over the weekend.
