Smithville, introduced the FURRIES Act (Forbidden Unlawful Representation of Roleplaying in Education) on Thursday to prohibit Texas public schools from allowing furry subculture behavior in classrooms and on campuses.

The F.U.R.R.I.E.S ACT stands for Forbidding Unlawful Representation of Roleplaying in Education. Bill HB 4814 was filed by Republican State Rep. Stan Gerdes, and it would ban any non-human behavior by students. This means any student can not act or identify as anything other than a human in Texas Schools.
