US stocks were mixed Monday and the S&P 500 eked out a record high for the sixth day in a row as investors digested the announcement of a trade deal between Washington and Brussels.

Stocks fall on August 1, 2025, as Trump’s tariffs spark trade fears and Amazon’s earnings disappoint investors.

The S&P 500 generated tremendous returns over the last decade, but Wall Street analysts generally see little upside in the remaining months of 2025.
