The Denver Nuggets have seen some career-best play out of veteran guard Jamal Murray through the first half of this NBA season, so much so that he could be en route to a first-time All-Star selection to join Nikola Jokic as the first pair of Nuggets to be named an All-Star in a single season since 2009-10.

After half a season, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets‘ clash is finally here. Over their last three games against each other, the Lakers have a slight edge.

The Lakers are coming off a 110-93 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night. Luka Doncic finished with 25 points and 7 assists, while LeBron James had 24 points and 7 assists. The duo has carried the team in the absence of Austin Reaves, who has missed 15 of the team’s last 17 games with a calf injury.

The LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets meet Tuesday at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET.

As for the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic (knee), Jonas Valanciunas (calf strain), Cameron Johnson (knee contusion), Christian Braun (ankle) and Tamar Bates (foot) are out. Meanwhile, Aaron Gordon (right hamstring strain) and Jamal Murray (left knee) are probable.

Gordon, when he's been on the floor, has been a quality contributor for the Nuggets, and in the opening weeks of the season, even had some early looks to be a candidate worthy of All-Star consideration next to Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray—who now seems to be a lock when the way he's played in the first half of this season.

Brandon Miller scored 23 points, Tidjane Salaun came off the bench for 13 points and 11 rebounds, and the Charlotte Hornets blew past the injury-depleted Denver Nuggets 110-87 on Sunday night.
