Court officials say Dale Kirkland, the father charged in connection with the drowning death of an infant at a Milford motel, had his charges upgraded Tuesday.

Charges have been upgraded for a man after a baby found in a Milford motel’s bathtub died in August. Dale Kirkland had previously been charged with risk of injury to a minor and cruelty to persons in connection to the infant’s death.
