The NBA postponed the Los Angeles Lakers’ home game against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday with several massive wildfires burning across the greater Los Angeles area. It was the second straight day a game slated to be played in downtown Los Angeles was postponed.

"Obviously the game is secondary to that and to many things in life. Perspective is important," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of the fires.

The Hornets-Lakers game was postponed because of the wildfires in the L.A. area that have claimed over 5,000 structures, including the home of Lakers coach JJ Redick.
