Danish winger Anders Dreyer has been acquired by Major League Soccer's expansion San Diego team from Belgium's Anderlecht and has agreed to a three-year contract.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Midfielder Luca de la Torre is coming back to San Diego to play for his hometown Major League Soccer team. The 26-year-old will be joining San Diego FC on a 12-month loan from Spain’s RC Celta de Vigo with a purchase option, the MLS club said in a press release Wednesday.

MLS 2025 is just around the corner and San Diego FC is preparing with everything it can or has to play a great role. To do so, a new star addition was added from those who know because it is someone who comes from Europe to fight at the top.

This Wednesday, January 22, San Diego FC officially announced Anders Dreyer as the club’s latest signing. The Danish winger became the second Designated Player in SDFC history, along with splash signing Hirvig “Chucky” Lozano.

San Diego FC didn’t just see potential in Anders Dreyer, they went all in, dropping a cool $5 million, plus some performance bonuses, to bring him on board.
