On May 18, Scheffler captured his first PGA Championship, and third major, at Quail Hollow Club, firing a four-round total of 273 (-11) to win by five strokes over Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English and Davis Riley.

Scheffler, who won for the ninth straight time with a 54-hole lead, joined Tiger Woods as the only repeat winners of the Memorial. Woods won three in a row (1999-2001) among his five titles at Muirfield Village.

Slowed by hand surgery at the start of the year from a freak accident, Scheffler appears to be in full stride with one major already in the bag and another around the corner at the U.S. Open.
