Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu alleged that there was a usage of “animal fat” instead of ghee in the laddus offered at Tirupati shrine.

Amid the ongoing controversy over adulteration of Ghee used in Tirupati laddus, Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has accused the earlier YSRCP government of desecrating Tirumala, the abode of revered Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. Further, the state government has initiated the steps to sanitise the temple.

On Friday, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) reported finding 'lard' (pig fat) and other impurities in ghee, based on a lab report.
