Everton have confirmed that Alan Irvine has joined the club as David Moyes' assistant, and Charlie Adam will become the club's set piece coach. Irvine is a long-standing advisor to Moyes, having been his assistant at Everton in his first spell in charge as well as at West Ham.

David Moyes has confirmed the appointment of Alan Irvine as his assistant manager. Charlie Adam, most recently manager of Fleetwood Town, has also been brought in as Moyes’s set-piece coach. Irvine has worked in the role before, firstly during Moyes’s first spell as the Everton boss, as well as his time at West Ham United.
