A wildfire closed Interstate 70 in both directions near Eagle, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Westbound I-70 is closed at mile 157, just east of Wolcott, and eastbound I-70 is closed at mile 147, just west of Eagle, for the Red Canyon fire.

Colorado transportation officials have closed Interstate 70 west of Vail in both directions. It happened early Wednesday evening near Wolcott.
