The auto parts retailer known for its do-it-yourself approach will close 523 corporate stores, 204 independent franchises and four distribution centers. Currently, there are 87 Advance Auto Parts stores in Massachusetts and more than 200 locations throughout New England.

A major auto parts retailer is closing hundreds of stores across the United States, including Oregon. Advance Auto Parts said in November it would shut down more than 700 stores by mid-2025. Four distribution centers will also shutter during this time.
