Little Mountain Fire initially started 2:44 p.m. Jan. 15 in San Bernardino County. After being active for 16 hours, it has burned 34 acres. By Thursday morning, the fire crew successfully encircled the entire perimeter of the fire in control lines. However, the cause is still being investigated.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of reckless burning in connection with the Little Mountain Fire that torched just over 30 acres on Wednesday.

No evacuations are in place, but officials expect there to be a structure threat in around 20 minutes. The fire is spreading rapidly, fire officials said.

The blaze, dubbed the Little Mountain Fire, was first reported at 2 p.m. along Little Mountain Drive at Edgehill Road, just northeast of the junction between the 210 and 215 freeways, according to San Bernardino County Fire Protection District logs.

Southern California Edison had implemented power shutoffs for at-risk communities in preparation for the wind storm that fueled several wildfires in SoCal including the Palisades and Eaton Fires.
