In other dealings early Thursday, U.S. benchmark crude oil shed 37 cents to $68.06 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude, the international standard, gave up 29 cents to $71.99 per barrel.
Wall Street today: US stocks gain after producer prices data
US stock Indices edged higher on Thursday after producer prices data. At the opening bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 74.2 points, or 0.17%, to 44,032.38. The S&P 500 rose 4.3 points, or 0.07%, to 5,989.68​, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 25.4 points, or 0.13%, to 19,256.09.
