After dropping the first episode of Paradise on Sunday, Hulu has made episodes 2 and 3 of the thriller available to audiences that should have provided a bit more context to that mysterious twist at the end of the pilot.

In “Paradise,” Sterling K. Brown stars as Agent Xavier Collins, whose life is turned upside-down when he finds James Marsden’s President Cal Bradford dead during a routine morning. As the murder investigation for Cal kicks off, “Paradise” reveals a dystopian twist that altered the U.S. as the characters knew it.

The actor and creator tried something much less weepy this time: a sci-fi thriller. Still it was “a homecoming on so many levels,” Brown said.
