When you think of Kentucky Fried Chicken, what's the one place that really comes to mind? Kentucky, of course! Now, the company is moving to Texas.

Is Texas a winner winner chicken dinner? Louisville, Kentucky, mayor disappointed that chain “synonymous with Kentucky” will move to Lone Star State.

"This strategic decision will involve relocating KFC U.S. corporate office employees currently in Louisville, Kentucky, to the KFC and Pizza Hut Global headquarters in Plano, Texas. In addition, U.S.-based remote employees will be asked to relocate to the campus where their work happens."

The tech giant is investing more than $1 billion in the state, including the San Antonio area. And, Kentucky Fried Chicken is moving to Plano.

KFC will be moving its longtime headquarters from Kentucky, the only home its ever known, to Plano, Texas, the company announced on Tuesday.

Texas Fried Chicken? KFC is relocating its headquarters from Kentucky to join Pizza Hut in Dallas suburb of Plano, TX.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has suggested Kentucky Fried Chicken should change its name to Texas Fried Chicken, after KFC announced it is moving its U.S. headquarters to the Lone Star State. Newsweek contacted Yum! Brands, KFC's parent company, for comment on Thursday outside of regular office hours.

"Just another example of profit over ruling common sense. KFC is doomed because of this behavior. I remember way back when at KFC, the most important things were the quality of its food and the dining experience. Now it is just an overpriced box," wrote Dead Poet on MSN.

The KFC chain — launched by Colonel Harland Sanders and his secret blend of 11 herbs and spices — will be based in Plano, Texas, and about 100 KFC corporate employees will be relocated in the next six months, said Yum Brands, which owns KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.
