Former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and Zohran Mamdani, the two front-runners in the Democratic mayoral primary in New York City, delivered closing-stage speeches.

After months of Andrew Cuomo topping the New York City mayor’s race while the organized left scrambled, progressive candidates are finally using ranked-choice voting to fight back.
