BioWare is being downsized as it focuses its attention on Mass Effect 5 General manager Gary McKay says "We don’t require support from the full studio" Many long-time Dragon Age developers have been laid off EA has announced it is restructuring BioWare as it shifts its full attention to Mass Effect 5.

It seems that developer BioWare might already be done supporting Dragon Age: The Veilguard in a major way. Since launching just a few months back, BioWare has been quick to push out additional updates for the newest Dragon Age game to bring it to a better place.

BioWare is becoming a "more agile" and "focused" studio that aims to make "unforgettable" games, beginning with the next Mass Effect.

BioWare general manager Gary McKay tried to explain the current state of the studio in a new blog post that was full of vague ambitions but light on actual specifics. We know that the studio has completely moved on from last year’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard and is focused entirely on making the next Mass Effect.

Even so, it’s clear that the Game Director Corinne Busch is ready to move on from the project and from EA altogether, as she has officially confirmed that she will be leaving the company. As of now, no additional departures from BioWare have been announced, and this doesn’t appear to be part of a wider staffing change.
