The 54-year-old man was crossing from the store to the parking lot when he was struck by a truck driven by a 17-year-old.

The grocery chain said in a release that it had opened a new Marketplace store at South College Avenue and West Drake Road.

The King Soopers workers met first on Wednesday for an initial vote and are continuing through the process as they demand more healthcare benefits without impacting higher wages.

A strike could be looming for some grocery stores. King Soopers employees have considered voting on the action all day.
