The Tennessee Titans are the first to point out that rookie Cam Ward has room for improvement even as the No. 1 overall draft pick provided plenty of optimism.

Cam Ward led a touchdown drive in his preseason debut, a 29-7 Titans loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Aug. 9 at Raymond James Stadium. Ward was 5-for-8 for 67 yards, with all the completions coming in the second drive (following an opening drive three-and-out). Tennessee scored on the drive via a Tony Pollard 1-yard touchdown run.

This year's No. 1 overall pick made his preseason debut Saturday. It wasn't splashy, but it was a first step in his NFL growth.
