A Helldivers 2 movie is in development from Sony and PlayStation. This popular game inspired by Starship Troopers will be an interesting film.

The Helldivers 2 film is one of a number of adaptations announced by Sony at CES, including film productions of Horizon Zero Dawn and Until Dawn, and an anime series based on Ghost of Tsushima — not to mention the release window for The Last of Us Season 2.

The hit video game Helldivers 2 is getting the feature film treatment! Sony Pictures announced the project during their CES 2025 press conference. I’ve spent a good amount of time playing this game and it’s been a blast!
