Former Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg has been sentenced to a community payback order after admitting to abusing his estranged wife over a five-year period.

Stuart Hogg, the former Scotland captain, received a one-year community payback order for abusing his wife, in a sentence dismissed as a mere “slap on the wrist” by leading women’s groups.
