Aaron Rodgers may have walked into the 2025 NFL season as the face of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but if ESPN analyst and former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum is right, the future Hall of Famer might not finish it that way.
“The god of Cheesehead Nation was isolated and dismissive ,” Smith writes, regarding Rodgers’s demeanor during a player meeting. “He sat in the back row of the meeting room, issuing loud sighs before standing for a dramatic exit. An incredible quarterback, to be sure, but an even more impressive antagonist.”
The Steelers are putting way too much faith in Rodgers and ESPN sees that. They think Rodgers is going to magically save this team from hitting rock bottom and blowing the whole organization up. Instead, it’s going to set them back so far, the Steelers might wipe out the entire coaching staff and front office by January.
