Southern California's football program has been fined $50,000 and placed on probation for one year by the NCAA because of multiple violations of coaching staff rules over two seasons.The NCAA and USC announced Tuesday they reached a settlement in the case.

As if his third year at USC wasn’t already tumultuous enough, Lincoln Riley is now on probation. On Tuesday, the NCAA announced that USC football has been placed on probation for one year, following a lengthy collaborative investigation that determined the program had violated previously in-place bylaws around analysts engaging in countable coaching activities.

The USC Trojans football program was placed on a one-year probation and handed a $50,000 fine for violating NCAA rules. Coach Lincoln Riley addressed the ruling when he spoke with the media on Tuesday.
