Sony Will Stop Offering Free PS4 Games Through PS Plus Starting 2026
Sony has announced that PlayStation Plus subscribers will stop getting free monthly PS4 games starting in 2026, as the company shifts focus to PS5 owners. However, Sony acknowledges that subscribers may still occasionally receive PS4 games through PS Plus Monthly Games and Game Catalog after the change.
Sony will only ‘occasionally’ offer PS4 games on PlayStation Plus starting next year
You’ll still have access to monthly PS4 games you’ve already redeemed, but Sony is shifting its focus more fully to PS5.
Soon PS4 games will not be offered monthly on PlayStation Plus
Most PlayStation Plus subscribers use the service to access PlayStation 5 games. With that being said, Sony is deciding to cease offering PS4 games starting 2026.
