Even the very best hitters have slumps during the season. Shohei Ohtani had a 6 for 44 (.136) stretch last summer. It happens. In response to the slump, Yankees captain Aaron Judge spoke candidly about the team’s poor form: “ That’s baseball. We know what we’re committed to... You can’t give up, you can’t have regrets. Just show up the next day and be ready to play,” Judge said.
