President Donald Trump's administration intends to accept a Boeing 747-8 plane as a gift from the Qatari royal family that would then be outfitted to serve him as Air Force One, according to a source briefed on the matter.

The Trump administration is set to accept a luxury plane from the Qatari royal family that will be retrofitted and used as Air Force One during the president’s second term, two people familiar with the agreement told CNN.

Trump intends to convert the Qatari aircraft into a plane he can fly on as president, with the Air Force planning to add secure communications and other classified elements to it.
