El Paso's mayoral race is headed to a runoff between Renard Johnson and city Rep. Brian Kennedy after neither candidate topped 50% on election night.

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Eight candidates are facing off Tuesday to replace El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser. Renard Johnson is leading with 33% and Brian Kennedy is right behind him with 24%. Johnson and Kennedy will likely head to a runoff election since neither has received 50%.
