Lent is a time of fasting or restraint for many Christian denominations. But area fish fries are expecting a glut of business today with Ash Wednesday. People in the Capital Region will be eating a decidedly different style of fish fry than the rest of the country: Folks around here favor a spear of battered cod that overshadows the bun.
