Word emerged last Friday that New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is dealing with a shoulder injury that could eventually lead to surgery and threaten his 2025 season, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Derek Carr's shoulder injury is said to be from his 2023 AC joint sprain. It was called a "week to week" issue that didn't keep him out of any games.

Breer highlighted the fact former Saints coach Dennis Allen was a large reason Carr was brought to New Orleans in 2023 and Oakland in 2014. With Allen being fired in November and a new regime stepping in, the writing is on the wall for a fresh start brewing, and even rumors that Carr himself might want out of New Orleans.
