Prosecutors say the death toll in the attack on a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg last month has risen to six as a woman succumbed to her injuries.

A woman who was injured during the Dec. 20 attack at a German Christmas market died at a hospital on Monday, increasing the death toll to six.

Taiwan President Lai Ching-te said on Wednesday that he welcomed equal, dignified, healthy and orderly exchanges with China, but wondered whether there was goodwill from Beijing given what he said was their blocking of simple things like tourism.
