New York Gov. Kathy Hochul wants to hire federal employees that have been fired as a result of cuts spearheaded by Elon Musk's DOGE, or Department of Government Efficiency.

Looking right at Donald Trump on Friday afternoon in the Oval Office, Gov. Kathy Hochul tried a different approach from telling him he was acting like a king for his attempt to end New York’s pay-for-entry congesting pricing system.

"The federal government might say, 'You're fired,' but here in New York, we say, 'You're hired,' " said Gov. Kathy Hochul in a news release.
