This 25-minute edition is the first of four Crufts programmes, airing on consecutive days. The culmination is a two-and-a-quarter-hour show next Monday, when the Best in Show is decided.

Crufts was plunged into a bitter row after dog handler Giovanni Liguori, 30, and his four-year-old whippet Miuccia, from Venice, Italy, scooped the top prize at the NEC Arena, in Birmingham.
