Manchester City midfielder Rodri will almost certainly miss the remainder of the season after tests suggested he suffered an ACL tear in his right knee during Sunday's draw with Arsenal, a source told ESPN.

The injury comes just days after he complained about fixture congestion, saying players are "close" to striking over the jam-packed schedule. It's a particularly pertinent issue for him – he played 60-plus games for club and country last season and has averaged 50-plus games a season for City since joining the team in 2019.

Rodri is set to be ruled out for a significant period of time after suffering a serious knee injury in the Premier League draw with Arsenal and there are fears he may not return this season. The Manchester City midfielder went down clutching his right knee and was forced off after 21 minutes at Etihad Stadium.
