A major data leak has exposed the movements and contact details of 800,000 electric vehicles (EVs) from Volkswagen and its affiliated brands, according to an investigation by German news outlet Der Spiegel.

Data on 800,000 VW electric cars sat exposed for months, including the precise location of nearly 460,000 EVs. It does not appear that any of that info was accessed by bad actors, though.
