Star power forward Zion Williamson is set to make his return from a two-month injury absence. A left hamstring strain has kept the 6-foot-6 superstar big man on the shelf since a Nov. 6 defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Zion Williamson is back. The Pelicans announced that Williamson will return to the court on Tuesday for New Orleans' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Williamson has missed the last 27 games with a hamstring strain.

The Pelicans (7-29) won their last two games, beating the Washington Wizards Friday in New Orleans and again Sunday in D.C. Trey Murphy was ruled “out” for Tuesday after spraining his left ankle Sunday.

It is within the realm of possibility that New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson could return to the court this week, according to coach Willie Green. "There's a chance, yeah," Green told reporters at practice on Monday. "There's a chance that he could, so we'll see."

Dejounte Murray was also listed as questionable. Murray has been dealing with elbow soreness, but played in Sunday’s game. He recorded his first triple double of the season in that game, finishing with 14 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds.
